Once you designed your overlay, you may be still thinking if you did the right text/color/lead collector settings.
Don’t worry, you can test multiple ideas, simply by creating multiple variations within your overlay experiment. You can either use the same template and personalize it differently, or you can also use many templates.
By doing this, you will be able to A/B test between multiple overlay designs.
After you create the variations and set the audience, you will notice in the Traffic allocation & goals step that the traffic will be equally split between control and variations. You can keep it like this, or you can allocate the traffic equally only between the variations that you’ve created.
After you run the experiment for a period of time, you will be able to see in the Results page which one of your overlay versions performed better. This way, you will know which version of your overlay to keep running and which one to remove. For example:
