If you already have a Reveal account and you need to connect your Shopify store, you can go here to install our Shopify App. After installing the app, follow these simple steps and integrate you Shopify data with Reveal:
Choose “Already have a Reveal account?” button
Log into your Reveal account and create a new shop from the Top Menu:
After the new shop has been created in your Reveal account, go to Settings (from the Top Menu) > Access Control section > API Keys > Configure:
Create a new API Key (you can name it “Reveal Connector”) by clicking on “Add new API Key”.
Copy the Connection token.
Paste the copied Connection Token in the Shopify App input and click on “Connect my account”.
In this step, a minimum configuration for you store is needed:
- Decide whether you want to assign to the same customer account the guest purchases with the same email address as your customer’s. For example, John Doe has an account on your store and buys monthly from you, but his last order was completed without being logged in. If you check this box, then we will also consider John’s last order as part of his customer account.
- Set up an Average Shop Margin. This will be used as the margin for products that have no acquisition price filled in.
Click on “Save Configuration”.
At this point, we are working on exporting your data from Shopify and then import it in Reveal, after which we will be computing the reports. When all this is done, you will be able to launch the Reveal Dashboard. Please keep in mind that this process might take a while, but there is no need to worry, because it runs in the background and you do not need to keep the browser window open. Also, you will receive an email at the end of the process, be it successful or not.
After the process completes successfully, your integration is complete. The Shopify App will only display a link towards our web app, called “Reveal Dashboard”.
