If you already have a Reveal account and you need to connect your Shopify store, you can go here to install our Shopify App.
Click “Add app”
Authorize Reveal by clicking “Install App”
Click “Sign in”
Log into your Reveal account and create a new shop from the Side Menu -> “Add Shop”.
Fill in the new shop domain and name it -> “Save”
Generate a Connection Token by clicking the “here” link
Create a new API Key (you can name it “Reveal Connector”) by clicking on “Add new API Key”.
Copy the Connection token.
Go back to the Shopify App page. Paste the copied Connection Token and click on “Connect”
Make your selection and click “Finish”
In this step, a minimum configuration for you store is needed:
Set up an Average Shop Margin (your estimated average value of the difference between your products’ prices and your products’ costs of acquisition or production). This will be used as the margin for products that have no acquisition price filled in.
Decide whether you want to assign to the same customer account the guest purchases with the same email address as your customer’s. For example, John Doe has an account on your store and buys monthly from you, but his last order was completed without being logged in. If you check this box, then we will also consider John’s last order as part of his customer account.
Once everything is set, click “Import your data”
At this point, we are working on exporting your data from Shopify and then import it in Reveal, after which we will be computing the reports. When all this is done, you will be able to launch the Reveal Dashboard. Please keep in mind that this process might take a while, but there is no need to worry, because it runs in the background and you do not need to keep the browser window open. Also, you will receive an email at the end of the process, be it successful or not.
After the process completes successfully, your integration is complete. All you need to do is click “Launch Reveal Dashboard”.
