“Goal timeout” is a cool feature offered by Omniconvert with the purpose to help you set up a time limit in minutes for registering your goals for that particular experiment.
The default “Goal timeout” value is set to 60 minutes for Overlays and 600 minutes for A/B testing and Personalization. This means that for Overlays, only the visitors that saw the experiment and converted in the next 60 minutes are registered as a completed goal/conversion and for A/B testing, only the ones that convert in the next 600 minutes will get registered.
The “Goal timeout” limit can be set from the “Traffic Allocation and Goals” tab – > “Goals“
Attention: this limitation will be applied for all the goals added to the experiment.
