Customer Lifetime Value

Ecommerce stores that put CLV into action can derive actionable information, enabling them to design customer retention strategies that really matter in the long-run, rather than focusing on short-term profits.

Customer Retention
Customer retention is a direct growth predictor for an eCommerce business. In the long run, retaining existing customers is more profitable than acquiring new ones.

Customer Segmentation
Customer segmentation and analytics help you discover what pool of customers should you address immediately, who should you transform into loyal customers. On top of this, it helps with better advertising targeting so you can attract more valuable new customers.
Segment names explained
Below, you see a comparative analysis for four of the most important segments a company should monitor to evaluate the business’s health. The names of these segments are inspired by love-life and are part of a total of 11 default RFM segments that we’ve created for the Reveal app users.
- Soulmates = your most valuable customers. They bought the most often and have spent the most in your online shop. Their latest order has been recently placed.
- Lovers = the second most valuable customers. They haven’t spent as much as your Soulmate customers, but they bought from you recently and frequently. You could get them to spend more with you.
- Ex-Lovers = your former Soulmates, who have abandoned your website and are now inactive. You probably don’t know why they stopped buying.
- About To Dump You = your inactive customers that haven’t ordered for a while.
